Training elbows
Hi Dave,
Any resources you can point me to on improving the power and
mechanics of my elbow strikes?
Also, tips on how not to tear up my elbow on the bag?

I hope Dave doesn't mind answering some of this, im sure his answers will be more complete than mine.
Jk you can pick up cheap elbow pads most places these should stop the the tearing of your elbow.
Think of the elbow as a tool when you have half the distance of a straight shot, the mechanics are not that much different, i whip it in from the hip and try to focus on getting the point of the elbow on the target.
From clips of Peter C doing elbow he does it off to the side, doesnt go for the head instead aims for the chest, the thumb rests on the sternum and is doubled hipped in.
