Can anyone point me the right way to find a cheap 24kg Kettlebell? The best price i've found do far is £45 delivered, but my budget runs and hides from that price No

Hi Ade,

bidding is still 'early days' but this might just have your name on it- assuming your surname is Base.

Hope it goes your way!!

I thought you were already mastering the 24kg kbell Ade? I figured you'd be up to the 32's by now?

I was using a 24kg dumbbell in lieu of having a K'bell.(which has since been "borrowed" permanently by one of my offspring)

I'm fine clean 'n pressing with the 32,but TGU's are a struggle Rolling Eyes ...and my arsey shoulder needs a little tlc....so i want to go back to basics and work the Program minimum for a while...comrade! Wink

*edit* Having said that,if i can't afford a 24 i guess i'll be rockin' the RKC program minimum with the 32...Have to try "turkish get downs" until i can manage the get up pirat

You know doubt know this Ade but the key to TGU's is locking the shoulder into it's capsule....this is not always an easy thing to do if you have a dodgy shoulder joint though but it does make it easier to focus on the rest of the movement when that's under control.

You could always focus on half get-ups. By that I mean just come up to a seated position and then back down again.

I've just about sussed out locking the shoulder, the problem (other than me being a total girl's blouse!) is lack of core strength, can't get off the floor under the 32 No ... have to work on that Wink

Start of light and work the technique until you've nailed it and then move up a KB. Just going to sitting alone will strengthen your core and you'll be very focussed on getting the movement correct. I suggest 5 - 10min sets of non-stop TGU'S, screw the amount of reps just finish evenly on each side.

I spent a little while yesterday working from the sitting up position backward down to the lying, hopefully that might help me through my sticking point....which is literally that first few inches of getting the shoulders/back off the floor.Once i'm past that i'm ok,well a bit shaky but ok Rolling Eyes
I'm in no hurry so i'll slowly work it out, budget won't stretch to a new 'bell for a while so i've no choice...which is fine. Cool

Good luck Ade. I think you'll find your core strength will really increase as mine did (I've moved onto 40kg KB's)....or it won't and my advice would have sucked!
