Visible tattoos.
They were letting girls in with tattoos though, and the doorman who was refusing me had tats too! Aargh!! Fair enough he's just doing his job if it's a management policy, but I don't think it was...
I told him he can lower his fence and forget about a preempt as I'm not gonna be trouble - you shoulda seen his face! It was like - "How did he know what I was doing?"!
