back slap!
Hi Dave
where do you stand on the use of slapping people with the back of the hand? have you ever tried it?
Personally it hurts my hand to much to try it for real cos it stings like hell on the pads!

Re: back slap!
The only way I use that is from the SIDE so I can backhand him under the nose. it always breaks and bleeds heavily.. a nice help in a real go
I wouldnt recommend using it anywhere else though

Dave,
I thought I recalled you also use a nasty backhand slap to the groin if opportunity/opening presents?
Or am I remembering that wrong?

Re: back slap!
Your right JK, Dave does teach a back hand slap to the groin, nice opener into torque turns amongst others.

Re: back slap!
true Jonathan mate.. one of my fave openers.. I just thought the original questions was backhand to HEAD/FACE..
but stepping in and backslapping to the groin is a corker of an opener

Re: back slap!
yep i meant the head/face!
The groin one is a strike we are using in training a lot now.
I just think an axehand is a more suitable technique that is a great substitute for a back-hand to the face!
