Well that explains why my bum's on fire.

We're getting the SDF shirts in hand. Slight delay due to me being in Scotland - Yours should be in the post Friday Dave.

Hi Matty .. Oh yes the Abbe breakfall story.. I had let that one slide back into the memory banks..

Now please accept that 99% of the stories about Abbe, the Warfields, and Mickey Gould are all true.. not always BELIEVABLE, but true none the less

Ok first I set the scene..

Its an old style large school classroom.. the type that is in a half basement.. you know the type.. you can see legs in the window at head height.. there are THREE very large window.. the sills as said at head height.

Abbe is with a class of ALL blackbelts in either BJC judo and/or Ju-Jutsu.. so he comes in, says "OK gentlemen all do Ukemi" (breakfalls), then leaves the room for half an hour....

When he comes back in a 3rd Dan goes up to him and asks "What now Sensei?"
Abbe replies.. "More Ukemi"..3rd Dan says.. "Sensei, we are ALL blackbelts, we KNOW how to breakfall properly"

Abbe looks at 3rd Dan, looks around the room at 20 others who have stopped their breakfalling and are standing awaiting the outcome..

Abbe smiles, lets out an awful bloodcurdling scream, runs across the room, and DIVES through the first window on to the street, amidst bits of broken glass and wood... 3 seconds later he dives BACK in through a SECOND window, again with bits of wood and glass all over the mate..
Not a mark on him, not even panting, he looks at the group of mouth open blackbelts and says..

"OK One window left.. who here can REALLY breakfall?" and leaves the room to 20 guys, sweeping up bits of glass and getting back to their next hour of breakfall practise.

TRUE guys Honest
