Funnily enough, we've been asked to train at the US Naval base near us. Should be fun.

Yeah, I bet some people don't think it's encouraging though!

I've been aware for the past several years that they've been moving in this direction. Personally I think it builds stronger esprit de corps and although nobody's going to be rolling around in the dirt, full kit, on the battlefield, it adds to the man.

And it works. When we were in Earlham Street, I know of two and possibly three of my guys who went on to join the French Foreign Legion. And one of them came back to see me and told me how much the tough, uncompromising training we engaged in had helped him. When I looked down the stairs and saw this guy in French Foreign Legion uniform at the bell, I was really proud.

Steve, where are you training now?

Coventry. Tony Pillage lets me use his place on the Sunday for MMA sessions and I do privates on a Saturday afternoon.

Thank god, weekend stuff!! I'm back in London area in a couple of weeks, it's only an hour and a bit to Coventry, can I pmyou nearer the time?
