Supplements
Hi Dave,
I know you've done a lot of research on supplements.
It's an area that we've never really touched on in our conversations but after seeing Sean Sherk downing 20 supplements a day I thought we could maybe start a thread on the kind of things you suggest people take a look at?
What would you advise for people who are training quite seriously. For health, development and recovery?
thanks
Chris

Re: Supplements
yes .. Ginseng is best taken as a TEA rather than tablets, as the hot water aids its diestion and assimilation.
its not to everyone's taste but I like it
but whether tea or tablets, then you MUST take them in courses of no more than a month, often less than this is better
its a bit like antibiotics, to use one example, a prescribed course of antibiotics requires you take them ALL even if you start feeling better, and stop when you have taken them all..
people who are constantly on antibiotics often dont realise GOOD bacteria is being killed off along with the bad bacteria ....
Ginseng is the same, the body assimilates and utilises it SLOWLY and the body's cells need acclamitisation..
when they are 'saturated' for want of a better term.. enough is enough and not only can you negate any benefits by prolonged use, you can in some cases, cause some adverse effects like stomach upsets etc..
sipping a hot Ginseng tea when you feel a tad rough, like with a cold etc, is so soothing
