Chance of a Lifetime
Hello everyone,
You may remember I asked if people had questions they wanted to ask Dave some time ago. Well, crunch time is near and we are now looking a handful of diehard Dave Turton fans for a closed-door Q&A session.
This could be your chance to ask the man, in person, all those questions you want answers to. There may be a bonus here, as well, as we are trying to get Karl and another of Dave's top students in on it.
This will be limited to around 5 people and, th best part is that it will cost you nothing. You would just have to be prepared to trave to where-ever we hold it and just ensure you ar there.
I personally have a couple of people in mind but I would need to know that they re interested first by emailing me. You can reach me at rezbi@feelinglazy.co.uk for more info.
Thanks,
Rezbi

Re: Chance of a Lifetime
Guys,
People usually pay for this type of "seminar" with people like Dave and Karl. Unless I get enough, we may just have to advertise and bill it as a seminar: And then it'll cost money.
Oh, I may hav forgotten to mention that this will be recorded and going out to millions of people. If you're in it you will also have your name in the credits alongide yur credentials: That could mean a heck of a lot of potential publicity should you do something for yourself in the future.
And, if you're good enough in Dave's estimation that could be sooner rather than later.

What expertise/credentials do you need to be able to get involved?
Have you any idea of possible locations?

Re: Chance of a Lifetime
This is for everyone: No expertise/experience is neccessary. You just need to be able to ask good questions and have an unqenchable desire to learn as much as possible about ALL aspects of what these guys do and have done.
Please send me an email for further details as I don't always get a chance to get on the forum and I may miss your questions.

Re: Chance of a Lifetime
Can you give us a time & date? I'm interested, but as ever my schedule is packed out, so I don't want to say "yes" and then find I can't get along.
Re: Chance of a Lifetime
All I can say for now is I'm hoping within the next two months as I will be moving home soon. Also, I need to get as many questions from you guys as possible beforehand so Dave and Co. can prepare. This way the Q&A can be tartgetted and specific top the information you guys want/need.

Re: Chance of a Lifetime
Here's what I don't understand: I see all sorts of questions on this forum which could be better explained practically, in person, such as the punch question, but not one person has replied to this thread to say they actually want to attend. I mean, this will be free and you can ask all the questions you want and get an immediate answer, both in theory and practically.
Sorry to sound so sharp, but how many people just "talk the talk" rather than "walk the walk"? We are talking about a closed door private seminar with one of the most highly qualified self defense experts possibly in Europe, and two of his top students who are literally masters in their own right.
Come on people, let's see who's for real. If I get no replies then I will do this by my self but it just means you will miss a great a chance. As far as dates are concerned, it's something we can discuss once we have enough people.

Where is it to be held? Travelling is limited for me at times...

Re: Chance of a Lifetime
Rezbi, rather than wondering "who is for real", I would suspect you would have a much better response if you gave people a clue as to where in the world you intend hosting this session. People will be relucant to commit if they don't know the logistics, no matter how good an opportunity it is.

Re: Chance of a Lifetime
All I can say is that it will be pretty close to Dave, in Yorkshire, which is also pretty central for the UK. But I'll probably leave the final venue to him. The date will be decided once I have enough people interested as I do want to make attending as easy as possible for everyone concerned.
If I can have people posting the best months, mornings, afternoons, days an then I'll take an average and let everyone know. I can definitely say, though, that it will not be before mid May, and probably June, as I'm still in the middle of a move.
Does that make it easier?

Re: Chance of a Lifetime
What can I get out of this that I can't get by phoning Dave? Phoning him has the added benefit of finding out what he's cooking for tea!!

Re: Chance of a Lifetime
If I could get everything from phoning Dave I'd be an absolute expert by now. I would challenge all-comers...and win.
MJD, I think I mentioned something about the practical aspects in this very same thread.
