Wish me luck
I've just renewed my martial arts teaching licence and insurance and have just finished organizing a Kid's Capoeira course.
I'm excited to try to put my training ideas onto Capoeira after 12 years of training

Re: Wish me luck
Actually I may well there's a plethora of things I'm worried about. Not the teaching fortunately
Peter how about training on Saturday like you keep threatening to do?

Re: Wish me luck
I will mate...
The plan at the moment is it do a six weeks kids course in capoeira. I've been out and about putting flyers about and hoping to God someone comes
After that I plan to start an adults session on an evening with an hours kids class at the front.
one of the major problems I think atm with capoeira in my area is that no one runs a kids class and so its a bunch of unfit unflexable people in their 20's and 30's desperately trying to kick above the waist lol. If its introduced at an earlier age then the standards will soar.
Also, though I like the people who come already and they're a great bunch, I would love to see more.... I dunno... common place people come in and give it a go. We get loads of students or ex students, musicians and the like and its great but I want to see chippies, sparkies.. lorry drivers and that coming in. nothing against the people who do come they're great.

Good luck dude. I'm sure your understanding of the art will increase as you teach it too.

Well done mate, I'm glad it went well.
From little acorns and all that.... word will get around and the classes will grow.
