Low carb diets....(continued)
Before the "happening " we were discussing low carb diets.
so to continue...
I think it's working.I have lost half a stone in the last two months, despite eating like two horses with the munchies! I don't think my weight loss is an entirely accurate measure of how much fat i've shifted,as i've put on a bit of muscle mass as well
One thing i have noticed, and this may be due to the lack of carbs in my diet,is that i cannot train full on balls out with the weights...i just burn out and make little or no gains.Instead i've adopted a "practice being strong everyday" mentality.I lift for 10-15 minutes 5 days a week using low reps and stopping comfortably short of failure.
I seem to have hit on what works just right for me at the moment

Goof for you Ade
When you say low carb do you mean low simple carb or have you cut out all carbs and are turning all Atkins on us?

Good for you!
Have you read any of Pavel's books? He recommends short, regular training sessions in Enter the Kettlebell and Power to the People.

Re: Low carb diets....(continued)
Pete,i've cut out "most" carbs(especially bread, pasta, sugar, and spuds)....a typical days scoff will look a bit like:
breakfast: cheese omelette (anywhere between 3-6 eggs)
lunch:mostly vegetables(maybe more eggs )
dinner: meat and vegetables
evening:nuts,cheese
i'm not too fussy about it though,i just try to keep carb intake under 100g daily.
Soc,i've got "enter the kettlebell";i suppose what i'm doing is loosely based around Pavels' "program minimum",but with bent one armed rows and clean and press replacing tgu and swings(dodgy knees and shoulder won't let me do those),and less reps with a bigger 'bell.

Can you deadlift? Power to the People is based around deadlifts and presses...
