Powerslap
hi Dave, when I came over to your seminar last year we went through a powerslap routine.
My question is are there as many different versions of the 'slap', for example, as there are types of punches etc.
You teach it, John Skillen teaches it, so does Russell Stutely and probably quite a few others that I have failed so miserably to mention..
Regards,
Nige
PS Bernard Taylor felled me with a slap the other week, but he maintains there was no power in it, but then again, he has what I call a 3 day handshake anyway

Re: Powerslap
Ha Ha .. Bernard is one of my favourite guys.. if you see him before I do, give him my best..
yes its true there are several varieties of 'power slap', as there should be with most techniques.
I have found, used and teach the one I prefer.. other have different applications thus different 'end products' or 'goals'.
some are best used by lighter people especially females, others direct at the central nervous system, others and 'brain shaking' etc etc
they all have merit and must all be tried then as in all things 'martial' never forget the old saying
"If you like a move, chances are it likes you"
