Locks and Levers
Dave
I am pretty sure what your answer to this question will be already but thought i would double check anyway.
Many Instructors (especially those that would class themselves as RBSD instructors) dismiss locks, levers etc.
However there are a number of them in the SDF syllabus.
Do you think they dismiss them because they have not trained them properley and/or do not understand the true application of them?
Cheers

Re: Locks and Levers
yes to all points there mate..
CORRECT APPLICATION is the key.. too many people stick locks etc on with a minimal expectation, so they dont use the correct approaches and applications.
Given that they can be done very well and quite easily, they are under-rated..
the caveat being that they work their best in certain situations .. not all.
so many people get the mechanics wrong its embarassing..
maybe we should do an 'applied' locks and levers course Ha Ha???
