"Natural killers are out there in your unit right now - find them and use them wisely."
Major David S. Pierson
Any comments?

Re: Natural Killers
Sounds like a rebirth for Berserkers, although I don't know whether I like the idea. I probably do not, but that's just me.
Otherwise, sounds a lot like the studies of col. Grossman on killing and profiling of violent criminals, coupled together. The difference is, now the detected "potential killers" are used for the dirty jobs.
Nuff said.

Re: Natural Killers
In my view Fedor Emelianenko and others guys in top of MMA are perfect models of Natural (trained) Killers.
In Brazil we have a elite troop called "BOPE" and his members are perfect example of this type of fighter too.

Yes Luciano, you are probably correct.
Also, when thinking about Martial Arts the vast majority of instructors & practicioners would obviously not fall into the 'natural killers' category.
So if a 'non-killer' is attacked by a 'natural killer' will he ever have a chance of survival? & will MA training be of much help to the 'non-killer'?

Yes. Almost 96% of average population fall in the domesticate category, because:
"A predisposition to kill is the result of genetics and early childhood experience."
So if a 'non-killer' is attacked by a 'natural killer' will he ever have a chance of survival? & will MA training be of much help to the 'non-killer'?
"...In On Killing, David Grossman points out that there are three things that make soldiers kill: conditioning, recent experience and temperament."
Conditioning = training in a specific method
Recent Experience = "fight is my teacher" principle
Temperament = in this area I have my own ideas.
Anyway,
"Artillery, the greatest killer on the battlefield, has always killed in teams. We indirectly condition soldiers to kill by training them as killing teams."
The underline is mine.
So, after this advice, I now understood the Esprit de corps explained by Mr. Morris.
What a man without this "temperament" not will catch alone, in a group/tribe/squad/team he can feel and probably absorve this violent mindset in a subliminal mode. This works, because in prisons, army and some real fight clubs, man makes the necessary adaptations to survive and keep relationships.
Of course this group/tribe/squad/team needs one "wolf" in leadership.

Mr. Morris are a good example of this lone wolf transition to lead wolf leadership. Anyway, a wolf still being a wolf.
P.S.: I´m an anarchist, and this article about sanction to kill of Major David S. Pierson - in really - make me sick! Natural born killers needs to be in sport and security field, not in governamental carnage mission launched over another country.
